Sardine Melt

Step one:
Open the tin of sardines and lightly mash them with a fork.

Step two:
Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and stir through the chilli oil.

Step three:

Finely grate the Applewood and layer generously over the sardines.

Step four:

Place under the grill until the cheese has melted and is bubbling.

Step five:

Finish with chilli flakes and black pepper, then spoon onto toasted sourdough and serve.
